Nozzle ducts
SUPPLY AIR DIFFUSERS FROM SWEDEN
Uniform air distribution at variable airflow rates
Repus nozzle ducts are designed to distribute high airflow rates uniformly over long distances. Through a combination of static and dynamic pressure, stable air distribution is created along the entire duct, even at variable airflow rates in demand-controlled VAV systems. The air distribution pattern can be adapted with air deflectors and cover plates, while connections, dimensions, and color finishes can be customized to meet the project’s technical and architectural requirements. Uniform air distribution
The nozzles are designed to provide uniform air distribution along the duct, even with long duct runs, high airflow rates, and varying operating conditions. This ensures predictable airflow and uniform air supply throughout the entire space.
Energy-efficient design
Low pressure drop and efficient air distribution reduce the ventilation system's resistance. Combined with demand-controlled ventilation and variable airflow rates, this contributes to lower fan energy consumption and energy-efficient operation.
Simple sizing
With the Repus configurator and plugins for MagiCAD and Revit, nozzle ducts can be sized and specified directly during design. This simplifies the selection of duct, nozzle pattern, airflow rate, and configuration for both constant and variable airflow rates.
Our nozzle duct models
DKL
Circular nozzle duct
Repus nozzle ducts DKL can be mounted free-hanging in the room with mixing air distribution to both sides.
DKS
Circular nozzle duct - High airflow rates
Repus nozzle ducts DKS can be mounted free-hanging in the room or along a wall. Mixing or stratification ventilation can be selected depending on placement.
DKQ
Quarter-round nozzle duct
DKQ is a nozzle duct for wall/ceiling angles. They are available in dimensions 160mm – 400mm. The diffusers are manufactured in lengths of 0.5, 1, 1.5, 2m and can be joined to form long units.
DKL-SP
Semi-integrated nozzle duct
Repus nozzle ducts DKL-SP are circular nozzle ducts with an L-profile that can be semi-integrated into a suspended ceiling. A very good solution when there is limited space above the suspended ceiling.
DKU
Half-round nozzle duct
DKU is a nozzle duct that is mounted flush against the suspended ceiling and placed in the middle of the room. They are available in dimensions 160mm – 400mm.
DKR
Rectangular nozzle duct
If you wish to integrate a large nozzle duct into the suspended ceiling, DKR is perfect. The diffusers can distribute high airflow rates despite a low installation height.
QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Frequently asked questions about nozzle ducts
Here you will find detailed answers to the questions we most often receive from consultants, contractors, and technical specialists.
The choice is primarily determined by placement, available installation space, and desired air distribution pattern. DKL and DKS are suitable for free-hanging installation, DKQ for wall and ceiling corners, DKU for mounting flush against suspended ceilings, DKL-SP for semi-integrated solutions, and DKR for flush mounting with low installation height.
Yes, Repus nozzle ducts are suitable for demand-controlled systems with variable airflow rates. The nozzle pattern and sizing are adapted to the project's minimum and maximum design airflow rates to maintain functional air distribution under different operating conditions.
The choice depends on the room geometry, mounting height, heat loads, and how the occupied zone is used. DKS, for example, can be designed for mixing or stratification ventilation depending on the duct placement and nozzle discharge direction.
The air distribution pattern can be adapted with air deflectors and cover plates, making it possible to direct or restrict airflow from individual nozzles. This provides flexibility during commissioning and when the room's furnishing or use changes.
Repus provides tools for sizing and design in MagiCAD and Revit. Consultants can select products, dimensions, and airflow rates, and use the products directly in drawings and BIM models.
